Marika Mikeli - Product Designer

Based in New York, where the city’s chaos teaches you a thing or two about clarity.

I design AI-powered enterprise tools and human-centered experiences that simplify and make complex systems more memorable.

My work combines rigor with creativity, enabling products to scale while keeping people at the core.

I care about the people behind the products. Whether it’s an advisor juggling calls, a family navigating care, or a team building something ambitious, I design to make their work lighter and their outcomes stronger.

If you’re looking for a collaborator who listens deeply, brings clarity to complexity, and adds a spark of creativity along the way — that’s me.

A Place for Mom

Healthcare Tech

2022 - Current

Problem:

Families struggled with overwhelming search experiences when looking for senior living communities.

Action:

Created Guided Search, balancing AI re-ranking with advisor control, and introduced a visual “golden path” pattern.

Outcome:

Improved match accuracy and increased adoption among new advisors, while providing scalability for experienced users.

Problem:

Advisors relied on outdated, manual CRM workflows that slowed down lead matching and created errors.

Action:

Designed an AI-powered Prioritization Dashboard with clear interaction patterns and high-fidelity Figma prototypes, validated through advisor testing.

Outcome:

Became the primary entry point for advisors, reducing time spent searching leads and improving adoption across the team.

Problem:

Complex workflows led to poor visibility and inconsistent design standards across enterprise tools.

Action:

Championed design systems and raised visual craft standards (hierarchy, layout, typography).

Outcome:

Upgraded clarity and speed in advisor workflows, especially in high-pressure, time-sensitive calls.

Where Systems Meet Stories

At the end of the day, my work is about connection between data and people, teams and tools, ideas and impact. I’ve grown through agency hustle, cultural projects, and enterprise-scale initiatives, and each step has taught me how to bring clarity, creativity, and care into the design process. I’m excited to keep building products that matter, with people who care just as much.
